Thanks
Thank man, I'm glad that you liked this piece. and i'm especially glad that you didn't misinterpret it. People always talk about how art cannot be misinterpreted and how it is all subjective, which is true in many cases, but with my poetry, it has a specific message and idea that i want to put forth, my poem "Truth" was completely misinterpreted by the guy that commented it and it made me kind of bitter. I feel that you understood the message in this piece. And i thank you for taking the time to understand it.

YES! ! !
that is the response i was looking for. Hypocrisy seems to be the foundation of modern religion these days. That's where the line "i see muslims putting filth upon their neighbors lawns and i see christians stoning prostitutes all day long" comes from, you see, in Islam we are told a story of the prophet Muhammad (saws) where he is hated by one of his neighbors and his neighbor puts trash upon his front door everyday. One day the prophet awakes to fine no trash in front of his house, so the prophet asks what happened to his neighbor and he finds out that his neighbor had fallen ill. So the prophet brougt his neighbor soup to cure him. This story is an example of loving ones enemy and turning the other cheek. But, people jaded by dogma and self righteousness fail to see that their actions go directly against what their "prophets" or teachers say.
The line about Christians stoning prostitutes is based upon a the eternal story of Jesus Christ (saws)standing up for the prostitute who was being stoned by the "self-righteous" and saying unto them "who among you is without sin, for he should cast the next stone."
We see places like Israel these days where there are two groups of people murdering one another in the name of a god who commanded that thow shalt not kill.
The teachings in these religions are beautiful, the Qur'an, the Gospels, the Torah. They all teach us beautiful things. But the self-righteous, the conditioned, and the egotistical get in the way of those teachings. They bastardize and distort them for personal gain. It's a sad and disgusting predicament but, it is the way of the modern world.
Anyway. thanks for the comment. And dont worry about them being too long. Your comments in themselves read like poetry.
