THANK YOU to my friend gingerhall1976 for creating such a wonderful view of the entrance to my Poetry Garden. I cannot put into words how grateful I'm for this wonderful gift. I was, am and always will be overwhelmed and eternally grateful. No one could ever ask for a better friend. I'd walk through fire for you Ginger. Click her link and give her a read ---> http://sharepoetry.com/gingerhall1976

I'm a 43yr. young man...
sometimes a 43yr. old man.

I've written poems off and on for most of my life.
I write poetry because it simmers inside me and from time to time it needs to be poured out.
I've always written rhythm and rhyme poetry because that's the way the little voice inside my head (my inner poet) whispers it to me. He is now learning to whisper different styles of poems to me.
He has whispered over one hundred in my ear over the years.
I also write short stories which can be found in My other items list or by clicking this link to Storywrite.--->  http://storywrite.com/Brian%20Balzer

Welcome to my Poetry Garden.
I have no gates therefore it's always open.

My poetry garden will grow quickly as I transplant the poems that I've already grown and new ones sprout to life all the time. I'm sure you will see a few weeds now and then. Every garden has them. I leave them so that the poems that are not weeds look that much better in their presence. While you are here please enjoy my Poetry Garden.

Please don't be afraid to let me know if you see a poem that needs pruning. I'm open to advice that could make my Poetry Garden more appealing. Saying that an area of a garden needs tending doesn't mean that you don't like the garden or even that particular part of the garden. It means that you love gardening also and think every garden should be as beautiful as it can be.

I enjoy visiting other poetry gardens also. I hope no one is ever offended if I'm ever in their garden and offer advice on how they might be able to make their poetry garden more appealing. Anyone who does much gardening knows that gardens attract bees and bees sting. However a good gardener is willing to put up with a few bee stings while they're trying to make their gardens more appealing.

Remember to gather seeds as you visit other poets poetry gardens. Those seeds could very well sprout and flourish in your own poetry garden. I myself have grown a few different type of poems after doing just that. If you have time please take a moment to leave a comment on poems you read. Even simple comments are appreciated. It's nice to know that your poems are being read.

Growing in my poetry garden I have poem titles for every letter of the alphabet. This was not something I set out to do. I only recently realized this when I began transplanting my poems here. Then I thought the idea is novel. I asked my inner poet to consider possible poems that would have titles fitting the last missing letters.

Can you guess which letters they were? Perhaps you might have a seed to give me that would grow into a poems with titles that fits the letters that I have less of. Feel free to offer suggestions on what you would like to see grow in my poetry garden!

Thanks to mallam23 ---> http://sharepoetry.com/mallam23 for giving me the seed that sprouted and grew into the poem: ZYGOTE. Thanks for requesting a poem that made me think. That only left one. Thanks to Inkling A.K.A. Inky, my stalker ---> http://sharepoetry.com/Inkling for helping me come up with: Questions which completed my Poetry Garden. Ok technically I have another Q title if you organize like a library because you wouldn't count {The} in: The Quest ,but hey I'm not that smart.
Please don't hesitate to ask if you ever need a little help nourishing one of your poems. I truly love poetry gardening.
Read ya later,
BKB

    Hellish

I would certainly wonder about your personality if I had not already met you and found you quite personable. It seems that you have an insight into the mind of the killer. Judging by our conversations I'm saying insight. If I were to judge on the merits of the poem alone I'd say don't bother knocking on my door, because I have guns. It came across very well from the mind of the killer. I did take a quick look at the other comments before commenting myslef. I didn't question the ending. I have no doubt that he's planning to kill whomever is at the door. I found this a bit off though:
smiling while i answer it as you
knowing exactly what it is I'm about to do....

Should it say as you die? The first line of it seems unfinished. Over all I thought it was very well written and very vivid. Great job. I've never written anything like that...yet.
