Fastlane2121Show poetry

I like to write poetry when I'm bored, sad, inspired, energetic, or feeling just plain goofy. I've got a wacky sense of humor as you can see in my poems "Bliss" and "Goose." This quirky personality will show itself very soon. Most of my poetry centers around personal experiences because I am more familiar with the subject this way. My poems are seldom dark; I tend to avoid writing in that style since I believe that poetry should aim to inspire and heal its readers through the power of words. My favorite topics for poetry are beauty and humor.

I see one of our valued young poets has already welcomed you to sharepoetry. Let me be the second. Welcome. She has already told you what I came here to say. Most of the folks here are fairly friendly most of the time. Rude people or trouble makers are rare. As she has also said, if you have any questions feel free to holler. I'm happy to help anytime I can. The best way to get reads and comments is by leaving them just as you have. That is the other reason I am here. To return the favor.
    Read ya now,

    Speechless

Impeccable beauty is woven within this poem. It is almost magical. I have not read all your poems, but this one is my favorite so far. The form even resembles a flowing river. Very emotional piece you have crafted. Great job, Lake!

    Smallville inspired me

The truck featured in this poem is actually Johnathan Kent's (Clark Kent's father from Smallville) pickup truck. I've been watching this show lately and their family operates a farm, so I combined the two with my wacky imagination.
