I am, as you probably gathered from my username, starryiridescence. I'd be curious to know who on here knows what iridescence actually means. I'm not offended if you aren't. It's not a run-of-the-mill word.
You may wish to just call me Star. You may also call me 'Random' because it's the world that best describes me.

I'm not a so-called "normal" person. I'm just telling the truth here. I live every day with a touch of oddity. Not only that, but I'm proud of my weirdness/random thoughts. If I didn't have them, who would I be?

I'm the type of person that thinks about what would happen if giant marshmallows came alive and crushed my school.

Yeah. That's me. Random...

Another thing you need to know is that I believe in peace, love, happiness, and all-around tolerance. Some may say that peace is a lost cause, but if you do in front of me, it is likely to make me extremely grumpy.

I'm pretty new to this site, so I'm always open to new people. Don't be shy: talk to me if there's something you'd like to say. I don't bite .
Peace, love, and yellow submarines,
~_^Star
P.S. If I do happen to change my username, this profile still stands.

I just read your work "Pink Banana" and think it is awesome. Really...it's terrific. Why don't you go and put your stuff here on Sharepoetry where we can properly appreciate it? More of this, please. I loved the poem and the personality behind it. Good stuff.

I might need to apologize beforehand as I have only just discovered Sharepoetry amongst the infinite realms of cyberspace, and the reviews here are quite a bit...well, better than Storywrite and Allpoetry combined, I would say. I will do my best to measure up. May I also say that this is a good piece to test out the site with.

I must admit that this made me think and laugh simultaneously. Perhaps the somewhat bitter truth of this poem got to me. We are all, at times, guilty of posting something just to see what kind of comments we get. Sometimes it seems kind, and other times, the lies are suffocating. I would rather be told the truth in full brutality most times than be catered to out of sympathy.
As far as poetry being gay, emotion and expressing emotion is human nature. If we don't embrace the monsters within us and release them, eventually they will come to a head and destroy us from within. I think some people just don't lead lives that require them to really sit and ponder much of anything.

"I innately recoil and seek something manly:
Rebuild a car engine, plumb a building with aplomb
Go kick-ass up a big-ass hill on my bad-ass dirt bike
    And use the word "ass"
    Alot..."
    The funniest part. Period.
    Thank you for posting this.
    Peace, love, and yellow submarines,
