on Merry... by Lad, on December 22, 2007No suggestions - but a big award to one of my finest friends on this site. I got up early this morning to send a message to you, then saw and read your poem. Its gist I send back to you, with a special thanks first for the write, then for all your wonderful help on my 'poetry road' of the past year. God bless and do have a joyous Christmas and New Year's Day. Frans

on Lord I'm Trying by JMDople, on December 5, 2007I am not one of the 'brilliant poets' either on AP or SP, and of poetry form, I now nothing, but I will venture my thoughts [where angels fear to tread] on this lovely poem. I experience a number of levels in this: the need and the experience or better still, the prayer and the praise; the statement of faith or 'the knowing', and there is also the humble willing of allowing the Lord to take control - or submission. This is a beautiful.
Dear poet, the contents of your poem served as my 'reading' for quite time this morning, and therefore I answer it 'back' to you, but in how I experienced it in my heart [hope you do not mind me doing this to and with your poem. God bless. Frans
Lord Jesus, I'm trying -
please show me the way
Lord Jesus, please help me
to follow where ever you lead
Lord Jesus, this I plead.
In need's comfort, and
my load's hard to bare -
I know you're near me my load to share.
I call on you, and
never will you turn away -
so lead me Lord, show me the way.
Through battles so long and so rough,
You give me strength -
Lord that's more than enough.
No storm is too dark Lord, and
no valley is ever too low -
I'll turn to you daily for mercy
help me not to stray.
Lord, you are always near -
I shall have no fear
no matter where I go.
