on Sounds of Head Trauma by Man of Harlech, on August 8, 2007Thank you. I am sorry that you suffered in this way. I had a job that required periodic visits to a hospital with head injured patients. The eerie moaning startled me at first, but I watched these same patients gradually recover. I wondered if they were actually trying to talk or if this was an involuntary sound that they make. For people who do not understand, it is important to remember that this is a self that is struggling to be heard and respected. The challenge of this poem was to describe this. Your comment has indicated that I was able to do this.

on Why I flag this person? by Man of Harlech, on July 5, 2007I truly appreciate your insightful response to my poem. I have agonized over the fact that I have never asked anyone to make war in my name, yet I have not stopped anyone from going. This was an attempt to face a single soldier and to feel directly involved. I have wondered if the poem captured anything that I have felt. You have verified that I have communicated to someone. Many thanks.
