SavageShow poetry

Hi, my real name is Savannah. I mainly focus on storywrite, but I decided to give this a shot. Poetry is kinda new to me, so don't hesitate to give me any helpful tips, or anything like that.

I
love decribing stuff, it's just something to do when you're bored that usually turns out quite well. . An example, hmm... I'll try to do this in rhyme .

Sunset whisking clouds across the sky,

flinging rays of light across the land.

Colours dancing in the crystal clear blue,

The waltz of the day, so grand.

Flung across the water,

shining through the green dappled glass.

As it swells up and down in a wave,

like the sight would never pass.

Transforming the fading beams,

into a kaleidoscope spread across the sea.

Like brushes of an artist's easel,

Dressed up in splendour just for me.

~To Maintain A Healthy Level Of Insanity~

1. At lunch time sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if any slow down.
2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice!
3. Every time someone asks you to do something ask if they want fries with that.
4. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gotten over their caffine addictions switch to expresso.
5. In your memo field of all your checks write "For Marijuana".
6. Order a diet water whenever you go out to eat, with a serious face.
7. Specify that your drive-through order is To Go.
8. When the money comes out of the ATM scream "I won I won!"
9. When leaving the zoo start running towards the parking lot yelling "Run for your lives! They're loose!"
10. Tell your children over dinner "Due to the Economy we are going to have to let one of you go.

I came down to Earth in the snow. Spiralling snow-flakes were whisked viciously by the wind, whistling through the eves of houses. They flurried before my eyes, blinding me with whiteness. Slowly, as I reached the ivory groun

Hey and welcome to SP. You'll find this a lot quiter than our sister sites, but I love it that way. Hey, I'm going to go check out some of your poems. I'm known for being descriptive myself! That makes two of us.

    Enjoy the site,

Welcome to sharepoetry. This is a smaller version of all poetry, yet it is a rapidly growing community of talented poets. Most of the folks here are fairly friendly most of the time. If you have any questions feel free to holler. I'm happy to help anytime I can. Enjoy your stay. I have compiled a list of helpful hints I will send to you that would help explain a few things. They explain the point system and how to win a free membership and things like that. Let me know if you if you find them helpful and if you think of anything that could be added. Just a note, this is not an automated message. It is a personal welcome from a fellow poet. Welcome.
    Read ya 'round,

I'm trying to create... ashes just sitting there and then with a blow of wind a flame reaches out and grows, like a match when you stick it in a lit candle.
