Until

My life was going nowhere,
My heart was vacant, empty,
I looked forward to nothing
Until I looked into your eyes.

There was no life until I met you.

My hopes had all been dashed,
My prayers had been scattered,
My mind was blank
Until I saw your face.

I was nothing until there was you.

My words were just paper,
My song had no melody,
There was no dance in my song
Until I kissed your soft lips.

I was blue until I met you.

My heart was a boomerang,
My soul was crying for more,
My hands were shaking
Until I felt your touch.

I was no one until I found you.

My hands held nothing,
My feet held no ground,
I felt I was falling
Until you reached out to me.

There was no life until I met you.
I was blue until I met you.
I was no one until I found you.
I was nothing until there was you.
