screaming seas come crashing down, onto my rock by the shore
the clouds cry for the ships who are lost at sea
no one is there to save the sailors who worry for their lives
except for the nuns and families who pray in hope
the wind is quickly running around with the news
and like a whisper you're here with me; in soul
but just like my rock, you're crushed under the waves
I hope by watering the garden, you'll come back
the rose bush has been blooming, like my hope that you're alive
it was always your favorite part of the garden.
the warm shine of the summer sun licks my face
the clouds have run away, they're resting for now
the wind is quiet, for it has no new news to bring me
and I hear nothing but the sob of the sand on the beach
all the sailors have come home each of them are safe and sound
everybody is relieved , they are all back, except for one of them
Joe told me the news, and like I had dreamt the night before
you were lost like my rock by the shore and you're not here, anymore
I'm afraid to let go of the moonlight inside of me
but a soft summer breeze brings me a quiet whisper.
''I love you,''
