Sweet honey pie

He said, 'You are my sweet honey pie' and 'I would die if you leave my side'
I let him enter my heart, my soul and all that I hold dear.
I caress the space that he has left in my bed and my head
Is throbbing with sorrow,
But my sweet honey will return or so the runes say.

God forbid that he lied to me,
With honeyed words and soft caresses,
Did he just use my body for desire and lift my spirit above all things.
I know that I can be brave and wait for him to return
I know that he loves my everything,
As I do him.

He said 'I will never let you down'
Right before he turned around and honey bees surrounded me to protect his investment.

Please tell me what you think

    Hey

A nice love poem. It is always a risk to let someone into your life and heart. To let yourself become vulnerable is the risk one must take to experience true love.

    Nice read adorasmum
