Can you remember those amazing days?
sun setting, just barely
children playing, if your lucky on a trampoline,
bouncing as high as birds, or birds about to crash
as the BBQ fries those burgers
After a beautiful pik-nik dinner,
in your own back yard
ice creams delivered, little eyes light up
anticipantly waiting, wondering what to do
Even the oldest (me) waited impatiently
And being the oldest, I had the power
using my old tactic, I ate
stirring it into a paste of chocolate sludge
More trampoline, more BBQ
setting sun, makes me regret
that I didn't get the vanilla
Author notes

back when nothing else mattered
This reminds me of days spent at parties in the park. You know where they rent the big bouncy thing? This was a vivid poem and I liked it very much.
