Each day I dance
In my Mardi Gras Mask,
Weaving amongst
The Fabric
Of my life...
One Golden Thread.
The many other
Hues and textures;
A diversion...
For eyes that see
Only the rainbow,
And never
The Crucible.
As deep as you want to go.......

i really like the way crucible is used in the last line. i cdan interperate the meaning of this from some (to me) symbols, e.g mardi gras and rainbow. i dont really get the other parts tho. is it about the acceptance (or lack of) homosexuality? and how homesexual and heterosexual cultures are very much seperate.
"For eyes that see
Only the rainbow,
And never
The Crucible." is this about wishing you saw a mix of the two cultures?
it's just stab in the dark.
i really like the structure it makes it very easy ro read. and the background is very nice

Thought provoking. I'm not sure anyone wants... or needs to see the crucible. It's what you cooked up that counts.

Why is it
we often wear our sleeve on our heart? That saying of wearing one's heart on one's sleeve is totally bass-ackwards and you point that out beautifully here.
This is my favorite subject. People so often fear to be rejected for what they truly are, or "the crucible" that they wear a mask detached from who they are. That way, when they are rejected, it's ok because it is the mask that is rejected, rather than who they truly are. True rejection hurts, so we falsify the hurt away with facades. That's a shame, and you reveal that shame well in these words.
I thought this was clear and to the point, the best way to communicate and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
