Inside

Silence is a scream in the night.
Silence is the rage, hidden inside.
I am forever silent.
I am forever silent.

You can't hurt me,
Your words will never turn me.
I am my own.
I am my own.

Because of all the sickness inside.
I hide myself, from you.
You can't see my ugliness.
I'm only skin deep.

Inside is a hurricane,
waiting to unleash it's rage.
Inside is a little girl,
that never grew up.

Inside is my truth.
Inside is my pain.
Inside is a little girl,
that never grew up.

Inside awaits a flower,
waiting to finally blossom,
inside this spinal cord,
are wings waiting to unfurl.

What is inside you?

    Wow!

A very powerful poem that comes from the heart. Sounds like a very unhappy relationship that you are waiting to get out of. You are very right to look within and protect yourself from external abuse. I don’t want to preach but people that cause suffering are doing it out of one, or a combination of three things: Hate, greed, ignorance.

You are very right that the truth is inside of you. I will keep you in my morning meditations (if that is OK with you) that everything will work out OK.

Your last stanza is powerful! So I believe all will work out for you since you believe in yourself!
