Eyes gasp open
Dry air fills my lungs
I see my wife shielding my child
screaming in unknown tongues.
I reach forwards towards her,
notice my hand deep in decay
look down at my body
which is bloody and frayed
In confusion I walk towards her
searching for her warming love
But she is rather panicked
and knocks me down with hard shove
She has long since escaped
And I stand on this cliff alone
Staring at the rocky shore below
I step off the sheer drop, and my good-byes I moan.
