Does the world know who we are?
Our we part of its conciousness? Or are we bits and pieces---
insignificant in its vastness.
But the world is finite, it has its end.
Its space limited.
How does it grasp us?
How does it handle the people who tread the line
between the extreme poles of darkness
and light. Dipping their fingers
on the possible sadness
of each.
On the possibility of happiness infinite
in a sphere of limitations.
It is earth---land and water
yet its greatest depth measure not
to the core
it greatest depths lie in mortal and finite beings---
prone to fall
prone to madness
capable of greatness,
heroic acts
and of love
Man.
For that is what this world know us to be
Its greatness
and its folly.
say what you think.

I good inquisitive poem and a good message at the end and throughout the poem. The battle within the human psyche. The great amazing triumphs we have surmassed and the even higher toll of "folly"'s. Overall I thought it was a great poem. Asking uncommon questions, except for maybe the space one, but still not that common. I remember I wrote something much more common than this many years ago and posted it when I had first joined, Its kinda funny looking back upon it. Another great job. As of course there's a line in this poem that just doesn't seem to have relevance to anything or is connected directly to anything besides just a statement. "On the possibility of happiness infinite
in a sphere of limitations." But that could oof course me just rushing through everything b/c I'm in a hurry, Not a real great way to read poetry. But you tend to look at it more openly. At least I do, which it's different for most people, they often just fly by objectively. Take Care.

Hi Marcus,
I'm glad this poem worked for you. Thanks for taking the time to read. In my head, the line you mentioned is more than a statement. There's a reason for it in relation to man and the poles by which he exist. Thanks again.
