keeps ticking

The clock keeps ticking,
And the world keeps spinning,
I look into your eyes,
Just to see your deep lies,

I'm tired of living this way,
Where nothing happens the way it's said,
And all we have is the music,
'Cuz our "friends" won't listen,

When it's hard to get things out,
And you don't want to shout,
But all you have is your voice,
Maybe one final choice,

Be what you want to be,
Search the world,
Under rocks and stones,
Just to find dust,

Where there should be butterflies,
Not only in the skies,
But down in the darkest places,
Where you can't even see the palest of faces,

So here we are tonight,
Together, almost as one,
Tonight we're torn apart,
Because tonight, we're bearing the weight of the world.
