Seconds

Tears pour light as kisses from an empty sky
The gods reining their sorrow upon the Earth,
Relentless in their misery.

I must bid you goodnight my Romeo,
Helios has long since gone with his chariot.
Although, just a few more, mere seconds should do no harm,
No need for you to submit to the unyielding anguish above.

The lust seeping from your eyes is visible,
In a form of slow suicide, fingers trace subtle contours,
Leaving a trail of embers where they touch,
Smoldering their way into my veins, in through to my heart.
Just a few more, mere seconds should do no harm…

Voices are seeking my presence,
But I am lost,
Oblivious to my surroundings,
The dim lights envelopes us, seeking refuge in passion.

Vision is blurred,
Soft, sweet, nothings are exchanged in hearing,
Whispers of words, not anything more are they.
Yet they sound so right.

Just a few more, mere seconds should do no harm…
