Fire In the Sky

I love to watch the burning clouds
sizzling in the sky,
brilliant with their red and golds
as daylight says goodbye.
Stark and dark are branches
of tall trees against the glow.
Such a wonderful farewell,
that solar evening show.

Pinks and purples mingle
as the sunlight slips away,
viewed through branchy curtains
at the closing of the day.
Against this blazing glory
one little bird outlined,
flying through this wonderland
a roosting place to find.

How the river catches
threads of gold and crimson red
which gently kiss its surface
as our sun goes to its bed.
As the beauty fades away
into the jet of night
I feel I'm so much richer for
experiencing the sight.

    Hey you know

this reminds me a great deal of a poem I read earlier by Debralyn where she expresses the same gratitude for the beauties of nature and what it does to soothe the soul and bring joy. Gratitude is a good thing and I've often felt the same when taking in nature's beauty. This was calming and actually made me feel peaceful as I read it.

Cute! Love the word "sizzling." It's almost personified. I love this. It's just adorable. And it flows so well. It makes me really picture it. And the lines
"I feel I'm so much richer for
experiencing the sight" are a great close.

    Kudos,
    Adie
