Standing, Watching

Standing there
thinking watching
praying crying
waves crashing
mist on my face
wondering

I step forward
closer now
I see it all
staring
the jagged rocks
calling me
encouraging me

One more step
waves dancing
the setting sun
birds over head
a gust of wind

To the edge
doubting fear
hesitation
I turn back
slipping
falling

Waves laughing
birds singing
"Good-bye"
I hit the rocks
cold water against me
my blood mixing with waves

Staring up
the cliffs
so cruel
I see myself
standing there
laughing

Standing there
thinking watching
praying smiling
waves crashing
mist on my face
wondering

This is fast paced and exciting. The flow is nice and compliments the short use of lines. This creates a picture and that's always a ncie thing to have in your ind while reading someones work. People can relate to this too, so this is a good read.

    nicely done,
    Ashley
