Just something I came up with at 4:00 in the morning when I couldn't sleep. I wanted to do something completely silly, like a old Monty Python sketch.
I was reading the verses of Lewis Carrol and Edward Lear, and this short poem is dedicated to them. Hope you enjoy.
How is the rhyming scheme on this poem? What can I improve?

This fits in well with the influences you mentioned. But it's tantalyzingly short. I picture a character like Tweedledum/dee galumphing through the woods and forests singing the song. Next time you're up at 4AM maybe you could try to extend it into stanzas. This by itself has a good lilt and rhythm to it. Cheers, MJ

ones always caught up in the rat race of life and there is so much of serious stuff in life .Being silly actually when u are an intellectual is a wonderful way to relax and forget all the tensions of life.
