English professors want lyrical ballads.
Zines want bombastic bitching.
The Avant Gaurd wants word salad,
but all editors say my work needs fixing.
To literary frustration I am resigned,
and it makes me wanna cuss.
If I write ever-so-clever lines,
will you publish my erudite opus?

lol hilarious.
I have not tried to get my poetry published yet but I am in progress of publishing my first children's book and yeah what a mess. Luckily its not my opus or I would have a lot more emotional investment.
You have a lot of talent I hope everything works out for you.

i liked the light-heartedness of this so i'd change the last line, i associate erudite which kind of high-brow and snotty which this isnt and your not.
as for publishing i think its simple keep writing and submitting.
