Two Oceans

i bid you goodbye,
this time for good
its best we sever things
before we linger too
long too comfortable
and leave imprints on each other's
skin. On each other's
soul

lets say goodbye now
where all we have is shallow water
all we've done is wade in it
with out feet barely in
our bodies barely wet

though we may dive into the abyss
into the unknown of each other's
ocean. Though the pull of fate
drowns us to the possibilities
of thought manifested,
of ourselves reflected
we must say goodbye now

for at the depths of the bottomless pool
is darkness
and gravity overpowers
as we draw to center
lets say goodbye now
and leave with the shallow water
our feet grazed upon
once in this ever lifetime.
