Forever Her

There is only one woman-
and one single reason.
That keeps me still trudging,
through each trying season.

She's wonderfully kind,
amazing and sweet.
I tell you; without her,
I'm just not complete.

When she's in the room,
my whole world gets bright.
Its never as brilliant-
when she's not in sight.

When I think heavy thoughts,
she's there with a smile.
She cares for me daily-
and has for a while.

She knows all my faults-
and all of my sins.
She holds all the keys,
where my whole world begins.

I trust her completely,
with all of my soul.
For without her there'd be
but a desperate hole.

Life is getting tough,
with curve balls galore.
Yet living without her
would be such a bore.

I know I have problems,
some sins and some quirks.
Sometimes it may seem-
like I'm being a jerk.

But through all of our trials,
the thick and the thin.
I never once doubted-
the love that we're in.

When someone should pose me-
my reason to live.
Thankfully I have-
a great one to give.

I know in my heart-
that my answer is sure.
The reason I live-
on this earth is for her.

    How wonderful for you.

To have such a incredible person in your life who can be inspiration for such beautiful poetry you are truly a lucky man. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit jealous. This poem has a wonderful flow and a nice rhyme element. Great work.

That is so completely sweet!! It shows that you have written this from the heart. Every person wants to hear how much they are loved and you have done that with this poem. I really like the ending it sums up so very well what you feel. So sweet

    Beautiful!

I think this poem is absolutely beautiful! I smiled throughout the reading of this poem. I am amazed that I am the first to comment. This is what every woman wishes her man felt of her. This is pure romantic perfection and had to have won you quite a few brownie points. I loved everything about it, and honestly would not change one single word. Wonderfully done!

      Thank you!

She said she liked it. I wrote it without thought of the consequential cheese factor I usually implement. Your words are very kind and very appreciated. I work on positive reinforcement and you have encouraged me to continue putting my work up here regardless of the possible cheese level.
