A Day in Juneau, Alaska

Behold the snowy wilderness
that has sadly been ignored.
The infinite blanket of white
cushions my feet
as I gaze at this winter wonderland.

Those who thought this barren wasteland
are gravely mistaken.
For what I find here is nothing less
than heavenly beauty.

The glassy lakes
sparkle in the midnight sun
The forests of the ice land
display themselves in rich green,
an oasis in the white oblivion.
A bear stops it's wandering
to grab a fish from the river
with the grace and precision
only nature can teach.

Welcome to Juneau, Alaska,
the home of the snowy dreamlands
where nature shows it's true potential.
