The Depths of the Mind

The forest surrounds me
like a ring of darkness
as the trees cast their shadows
on the ground.

It is here
where my thoughts run free,
escaping the blinding sunlight
of day.

It is here
in this circle of shadows
that my eyes observe
the world around me,
free from the distractions
of society.

It is here
where my blank paper
transforms into a
masterpiece of inspiration.

It is here
in this forest
the night of the day
where my imagination runs wild
free from confinement
that I write.

    Bravo!

I really like the imaginary in this! Haha I also like the third stanza but I like the second stanza the best! But I can picture the writing in the poetry.

    Great Job, keep writing!
    Hope

I like the imagery of this one.

I can picture this forest that you seek solitude in. I wrote one not to long ago called Solitude about a man alone in a forest. The message was completely different though. I like the third stanza the best. I'm not really sure why but it appeals to me. Good job.

      Thanks Brian

      As always.
I'll have to take a look at that solitude one.
