I Need A Friend Today

I sit by the bridge
where the ducks
cheerfully quack
and I smile in absolute bliss.

A breeze blows through the air
and a tissue blows by my face.
I scowl at the tissue,
wondering how someone
could litter
In a place as beautiful as this.

I walk with the tissue
glaring at the person
who threw it so carelessly.
But then my face goes soft
as understanding dominates
my expression.

I walk up to the sobbing person
and nod sympathetically
in their general direction.
They smile at me
as I hand them the tissue.

"I need a friend today"
They say.
I sit down next to
this stranger I barely know,
as we watch the river
flow gently
in silence.

Nice piece ! The language you've used is very descriptive and i can easily imagine what is going on there.Great imagery ! A very emotional and meaningful poem. With just a few lines you were able to give us a great picture .Again this poetry deals with solitude ,the desire and need to find a friend. The tissue -is a great artistic detail.

    Sad and Sweet.

I see the poetry is simply flowing out of you. This is very well written. It has a nice even flow. I wonder though if you meant that the person threw it carefully or if you meant carelessly. Good work.

      Hey Brian

Lol, I did mean carelessly. I'll fix that right now. Enoq, Renji and I were having a contest about a tissue (XD) so I wrote this.
