Pleading Prayers

Round and round the Rosary beads
My anxious fingers go
As fervent prayers are recited and shared
Dear Lord I need you so

I’ve lost my way this terrible day
So I need to feel your presence
To see your footprints in my life
‘Cause this worry is incessant

Mary, our Mother, hear my prayers
And take them to your Son
So he may ease my heavy heart
That surely weighs a ton

Free my tortured soul from guilt
And forgive me my transgressions
Help me turn the other cheek
And benefit from life’s lessons

Glorious angels up above
Please visit me this day
And wrap your wings around me now
As I kneel alone and pray

Then carry my cares to illusion land’
Right back from whence they came
And guide my restless spirit home
Free from fear and hurt and blame

Well written with superbly flowing rhythm,"Round and round the rosary beads" is a great line; makes me want to start praying again, well almost.
