Nature's Child

The smell of grass
clings to his clothes
his stomach that is
never quite full
yet feasts on the sights
of his travels

Follows wherever
the wind may lead him
always moving
never stopping
doesn't leave a trace
yet doesn't seem to mind
this life
and follows
the path that fate
may lead for him

Contented with this life
a migratory creature
the sun has shone on him
for long
and is an obvious feature.

He can see with his ears
feel with his eyes.
Born into the wild
never stopping
always going
he is nature's child.

It's a mix of the song "Learn to be Lonely" and the movie "Chocolat" (spelled purposely without an e).
I'm sure you know all about Mr. Phantom!

"Learn to be Lonely" is from the Phantom of the Opera movie.
