a Demonic Night

A DEMONIC NIGHT

(Based on a True Story)
Most of what I wrote is based on things my brother told me the morning after it happened.
It was the year of 2004, my brother and his baseball team(the Yellow Jackets) had just won state. After we had come home we talked for about two hours about the game. When it was late enough my parents told us to go to bed. My brothers, Matthew and Andy, shared a room and had to sleep in bunk beds. Andy had the top bunk, Matthew had the bottom. We all went to bed and the house became silent, at around 2am, something woke Andy up.
He opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling, trying to concentrate on what he had just heard. When he finally decided it was nothing, he went back to sleep. A few hours later, the same noise woke him up. This time it was much closer to his bed. Andy was only twelve at the time, so he had every right to be scared out of his wits. He decided to stay up and wait to hear noise again, it never came and he ended up falling asleep. Again he awoke to the same noise and he was getting scared. He jumped down and went to Matthew’s bed waking him for protection.
“Matthew,” He whispers as though not to disturb whatever he thought was making that noise. Matthew wouldn’t wake, Andy became impatient and more on edge. But before he could react to Matthew’s sense of absence, he became aware of a extra presence in the room right at the edge of his bed. Before he was able to react, the presence was putting a massive pressure on his chest, blocking his airways and causing him to stop breathing. While he was struggling for breath, he started hearing strange demonic whispers in the far corner of his room. Andy tried to scream but the pressure on his chest was so strong that he started going in and out of consciousness. While he was gasping for breath the voices were coming closer to his bed.
Then suddenly, shockingly, everything stopped. The pressure lifted from his chest and he was able to breathe, even the voices were hushed. Everything went still. Then, as quickly as it began a sudden, cold shiver ran up his spine. His breath was coming in little spurts and a thick fog was coming from his breathing. The voices started up but this time they were right at the edge of his bed. He could practically feel the breath blowing on his cheek. The cold, demonic voice slowly, temptingly, spoke in his ear, “Come with me, I want to show you something…”. My brother’s adrenaline was running and he screamed as loud as he could for my parents. Hoping this was the end he was wrong, they didn’t come.
He realized slowly that he was alone in his dark, cold room with a demonic voice summoning him to go with them. He was scared. He continued to scream for my parents but they never came. Andy started crying and started screaming, “GO AWAY!” to whatever was in there with him and Matthew. This lasted for over an hour and nothing ever changed. The demon kept asking him to come and he kept screaming. Finally, the demon left him alone. It just disappeared that night. After that, it never bothered him again.
THE END.
