Stinky Bill (Halloween Poem)

This is the story of Stinky Bill.
A man who's smell would make you ill.
A terrible voice that sounds so shrill.
He truly is a freak.

Bill lives in a shack dingy and dark,
a place you wouldn't want embark.
A dog guards it with ravenous bark.
You dare not even peek.

They say at night that Bill will stalk.
To the place where little children walk.
He follows prey just like a crock.
From up behind he sneaks.

A child who gets within his grasp,
will have no time to yell or gasp.
he ties you up with clenching clasp.
your future now quite bleak.

He takes you down to his old shack.
and drags you cross the railroad track.
He throws you in a burlap sack,
then leaves you there to shriek.

So if by chance, deep in the fog.
You see a crooked man with dog.
Hide in bush or tree or log.
Pray for you he does not seek.

He hunts much more on Halloween,
The rumor is he's thrice been seen.
So children keep your noses clean.
And watch out for the reek.

Of Stinky Bill

Author notes

I just finished setting up for our costume party and thought I would write a poem to relax. This is what came out.

I hope he's not in my neighborhood.
But I'll watch out for him
This year I'm a cat, so I'll be able to sniff him out. or use my night vision.
