Day of Destruction

The seductive rhythm of your body’s thump, like the sweet life nectar within a vine blood pulsated through your veins. The proximity of potential procreation pierced our common sense, rebellion of a carnal kind.

Our fleshy desires were frequently denied, but this time, with limited access granted a climactic rupture of passion exploded like lava from our loins. An opaque ash cloud left me blind and asphyxiated. The clash of our tectonic plates liquefied all better judgment. The destruction smoldered toxic gases into my soul’s atmosphere.

I girded up my heart in dry ice. The overflow of words shattered as they dropped from my lips. You appeared to walk away unscathed. My spirit was left cracked and ravaged by the magma flow and choked by the ashy plume. How I perceived you deceived me; the shatter of my words caused millions of tiny, burning lesions upon your heart, fractured a sacred trust and collapsed the passages of communication.

Days of freakish silence went by; there were no more smiling eyes. A love that once encompassed all succumbed to a wicked scheme. You deconstructed the trail we blazed; I kicked myself for having believed a lie, but we battled back from the fiery pit and devoted again to the mission. Love never fails, but can be burnt to dust yet sprout anew.

    Profound

I am sorry that this occurred either in or near your life. It sounds like he only had one thing on his mind. You had some great alliterations in this piece and they seemed almost unintentional. As usual your visuals are masterfully executed. If this is indeed true then please trust me, you can do way better than that guy! If not then great vicarious reliving.
