Time Knows No Age

T he clock ticks slowly
I t is a painful reminder of things that
M ay have been, but weren’t.
E verything now is just a blink in time...

K nowing that every
N ight may be your last is not an
O ptimistic view. Take it as it comes, don’t
W ait for it. Remember, your life is not all.
S ee the world through ancient eyes.

N ights, days... all a bat of the eye. Hundreds
O f years are but a snap of a finger.

A ll the world has seen
G oes and comes time and time again.
E verything is an endless cycle of birth and death.
. ..Time knows no age.

Thanks. That's awesome that you don't usually like this stuff. I personally thought it was my worst yet. I really appreciate that.

    Put this back up

There are not enough good Acrostic pieces out here. I love it. Simple truths that everyone can relate to. Great job.

      Wow

Thank you. It's like "WHEN WILL THE WORLD EVER THINK MY POETRY SUCKS?!" Ugh. Same thing with my report card. But I think I can live with these compliments...

As always AC, seriously, your modestly is astounding. If I had your skills I'd be bragging so much every person I might would want to shoot me, and I'd be dead already. Remember the PP!

      Muhahaha

Yes, yes, I think I've gotten many speeding tickets already.

& quote Riley (National Treasure 2):

"Looks like my taxes are coming to arrest me."

      Ahh!
