Buk writes about
Wagner
and what he writes
is exactly
what I feel about
Buk

fuck

poetic or what

threre's not a writer
alive or dead
has said half as much
feeling
as Charles Bukowski

he says it
all
even when he seems to be saying
sweet
fuck
all

he puts himself
down
himself - but never
his poetry

he makes me feel
small
but he makes me want to write
so
damn

BIG

Author notes

Buk's poem about Wagner is called 1813 - 1883

hey Wind, top poem about a top writer,
i must agree with dave,i also sense that Buk is writing for me,like somehow he`s mine and nobody elses,i cant pay Buk a higher compliment than that and i wouldn`t even assume to write about him but you write so damn good its almost as if this is a poem written by Buk about someone he truly admires
So you have succeeded in writing a great poem about a great man like Buks poem does when he writes about Wagner

      Too much

Hey R. That's a mighty compliment which I can hardly accept but I do thank you for the sentiment, really. Buk rules! >W<

    hey john

great, i think Buk deserves the credit he gets. ironically his readers who seem to be a lot of writers feel he's talking to them and really teaching them. keep writing big.

      Buk = Ochs

Hey Dave. You know, I've told you many times, what an influence Buk has been on me, in a way NO other writer has. Having recognized his influence on another writer's work and having just discussed the 'influence' thing with him I took 'Sometimes you get...' down from the shelf and read the first poem. Pow! I opened my notepad and wrote this one.
You also know that you and Buk will always be inseparable in my mind and how grateful I am to you for leading me to him. So it's great to have your comment, more on this one than on most. Thanks. John.
