Why are we afraid
To say Your name?
To speak about You?
Why are we afraid?
Afraid of what?
Even if they believe
They’re afraid to voice
Their faith
Why?
That others’ will make
Fun?
Are they scared?
The powerful, loving,
Peaceful, caring name
Of You.
So why,
Why, are we afraid to
Say:
“I am God’s”?
Author notes
Yes, I am a Christian. xD

Religion
It will always be a subject of controversy. Many will stand up and claim that their faith is strong in church and say nothing at the office or in another public setting. This reminds me for some reason of a saying I saw on a plaque. If you were accused of being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you? I realize that isn't what your poem is saying but if someone is afraid to openly state their faith I doubt that they would be convicted. I too am a Christian.

You're absolutely right, people should never be afraid to voice their faith, because if they are, they're not truly faithful. I love the way you think

Very Spiritual
A beautiful questioning element it all throughout this poem I love the underlying message. It is one that many people wonder about and usually don't find an answer. This is another beautiful write, Hope.
