Imagine

Many various reasons,
In different events and scenes;
Predestined for this occurrence,
No man can escape this fate.

Every other second,
Of every other minute,
And in every distant unknown,
Faces are disappearing, leaving everything behind.

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock,
Another one has fallen,
Beaten by strangers’ poverty,
Taken away by time.

As every word your are reading,
Someone’s existence no longer existing;
Engulfed by the deep blue water,
Poisoned by the heart of jealousy,
Or chosen by the disease uncured by man.

I committed suicide
And you, in a severe accident,
She died giving birth,
As he died before he could crawl,
They were exposed for a terrorist explosion,
While we were in battle, fighting for our country,
So now, imagine our time of death.

Author notes

Not too many people imagine this.

    Wow this is really interesting. I never actually think about how I'll die but what would happen after. At first I wan't exactly sure it was about death but once I read the last stanza it all fitted together so well.
    Great job
