Soldier

Why did she join the service
When recruited by Uncle Sam?
She was trained to be a warrior,
To handle and utilize equipped weapons,
And be able to fight in close combat.
She was educated a profession,
A task she must learn to execute,
And gain more knowledge and professionalism.
She obeys every given command as a subordinate,
But lead and train others as time progress.
Time has come for battle,
In the sand box many will attend.
Her weapon has become her,
Her gear as her protection,
Her senses alert and ready,
Her mind reminiscent of what she’s left behind,
Her being, fearful of killing or being killed,
Because she is a warrior, a Soldier!
