He said
Baby
My love for you is like
A fire
At first it was a flame
Escalating in desire
I cannot give it a name
But it’s growing by the second
It soon turned into an inferno
Burning in passionate rage
Burning, burning, age by age
A forest fire it is now
And it’s growing ever still
And I will
Always love you in this way
I don’t care what they all say
I am here, with you, to stay

Much you really mean to me
But my love for you
If you can call it that, between us two
Grows day by day

This is something I thought I never would have known
To be inside a love like this
Is truly amazing, it is something I would sincerely miss

There are so many things that we have been through
Each day we endure makes our bond even stronger
And each night we part, I wish you could stay longer

Not to be able to spend
Every moment of my life with you, my best friend
I want you by my side till my life comes to an end

Thinking of your smile warms my heart
Your name has made me blush right from the start
I cannot explain the emotions I feel
I only know that you have helped me heal

Before that December night
When you asked me, nervous as you were

Eleven months have passed and year is almost here
And looking at it now my love for you has never been this clear
I give my heart to you now, with my trust
Hoping that you will not leave us in the dust

You have told me a million times
“I’m staying here”
“I won’t leave you, ever”
And I know, I understand
You think it doesn’t get through to me
I just don’t let it show

You must notice how my cheeks glow
A bright crimson red
When you say those three words you want me to know
Maybe I don’t show it
But I really do love you
Too
And that is the truth
Whether you choose to believe it
Or not
But I didn’t get this far
Without you on the spot
I will stay by your side for the rest of my days
I cannot explain, there are too many ways
To prove to you, really, just how much I love you
Without you in my life, I don’t know what I would do
