Always

You choose to acknowledge
what isn't really there
I choose to leave things
out in the air

You push me and rally
'till I'm ready to snap
And I sit on the sidelines
waiting for your speech to wrap

You act in a way
that I wish I could be
Even when I want you to leave
You've always been there for me

Author notes

Another rhyme attempt. Even though it's kinda cliched this one's for Colin Night.

Mar, I don't deserve you. I'm a bit biased, but I love this poem. You are such an amazing person, you really are. I'm getting all emotional now. I really, really love this poem. You are such a fantastic writer, a fantastic person, and an amazing friend. Always keep writing
