A moon beam slipped
Past my miniblinds
Tonight....
It bathed me
In its' comely, azure, light.
It tickled my ear,
With whispered breath.
Hummed a soft tune;
Odes of great depth.
It lied!
In a duotone cerulean sea;
Reflecting a girl,
Not this old gal,
Back at me.
I reach out to seek
Its’ midnight, velvet sky, touch;
Fireflies kissing my cheek....
Then I knew it was you,
My Sweetheart Cowboy,
Out ropin’ moonbeams again...
Peeking through,
Lashes heavy with dew.
Wanting...
You....
Swinging your hat
Round your head,
Ridin’ that sky to Orion...
Looking back at me,
Leprechaun gaze;
A wink ....lecherous as Pan....
I want to know
If, once more,
Before you go...
You’ll lie to me, Baby,
Just be my Moonbeam Man.
