Whenever

The first month
I waited
excited
waiting
The second
or third
I knew
you weren't coming.
The waiting
was anger
Anger
at you.
The fourth
or fifth
I suppose,
there's
No more anger.
No more waiting.
Because
you're not
coming
I know it
But still
to be honest
I'm waiting
for whenever
we're ready.

Well I guess it's more about someone who chose not to come back...
      Thanks for comment.

I like how your feelings (?) change as you keep waiting. I don't know what else to say but I like it
    :-)

    Applause

How true when the pain of a rejection occurs, and how honest. The hope just hangs on like a shirt swaying in the breeze on a clothesline. Trying to dry out but then it rains... And the waiting continues. Excellent...
