The Fib

You hurt me
Maybe you didn't mean to
But you did
Now you're free
You don't have to pretend to
love a fib

Oh, maybe you didn't mean to
But oh you did
Don't call me
'Cause I'm not ready
Oh, don't bother
I've got others
Lining down the block

You left me
Maybe you didn't mean to
If you did
Now you're free
You don't have to make believe
That you loved me

Author notes

I hate relationships. They never turn out right. They rather turn left. Then south.

You cant expect any relationship to work out if you hate them..
I tried becoming a Trappist Monk one time after I messed up another relationship but those monks wrote to me and said i was too quiet to become one, they were looking for nuns though,i could put a word in for you..

please forgive me for being so cruel M o Monastery?

Good relationships cannot be built on lies. You conveyed a familiar message and you conveyed that message in a manner that was clear and poetic.
