Broken Bones

I dreamed

at least I think I did

that I had fallen
no not just a falling dream
but that I was actually at the bottom
in a broken heap

a voice within me said
‘your arm is fine
move it ’
so I did
and it floated free
something new and light
but still a part of me

I moved my every other part
the same!
no longer flesh and blood
and bone and name
I was soaring high and free
above this real world’s silly games

I woke
and fell asleep
and dreamed again
about the dreaming of a dream about the dream
and soon it seemed
what rules this world of men
lay scattered round me

like just so many broken bones

hey john, i'll a word from gG, inspired. I'm no Freud, but it seems your dream means man ruins the dreams of the world and to really live your dreams you have to go above and beyond the world of man.

hmmm...sleeping again to dream about the dream that you have dreamed is something that i have done so many times, it sometimes freaks me out...but, it does give me the realization that our subconscious is a very powerful tool in conjuring thoughts and ideas that we want to nurture...it presents to us the wishes that we have left untended along the way...yes, just like so many broken bones...but, when they're broken, then don't we need to mend them?
