Cinderella Revised

My vanilla-kissed skin glows in your night
Believing in passion more than their words
I glimpse pass for something out of sight
I saw how you stabbed me with a love gripped sword

Fear left us unspoken but my heart unafraid
I chanced with you my tormented pain
Returning to me hiding in a hall of masquerade
I whispered to my heart your name

With my hands pressed to your soul
And eyes searching for a sign
Our emotions brighter than burning coal
I wrapped my heart around you like a vine

Outside our reality paused
To the thought of you and me

Author notes

I don't really love it
