Nicks Poem

I’m standing here under the stars where the mountains reach out from the sea
And the rivers that surround them glimmer like a strand of pearls
Every gain of sand sparkling like jewels under a silver moon
And I rise up like the sun in the stillness of the wind
With my silent whispers and tears that fall on this road without end
And I remember that day God sent you my way in my golden silence I pray

I have always believed in you even when I am far away
And all I can do is dream. Yes dream of that day
As my tangle soul searches for a balance between today and tomorrow
I find I’m still fighting that ghost that’s within
So I dream yes I dream that yesterdays sun shines again and we become
Closer then we have ever been

I love you my son with every beat of my heart so I dream yes I dream
Of that day God sent you my way and I dream with each passing day
