I only just realized
that my mother is old
even though shes been old
for some time
I help her,
its all she needs from me
I tease her often,
"Your hair`s a right mess today ma!" or
"I remember you had a fat ass, now its huge"
It makes her laugh now,
she didnt laugh much before
"lets die laughing mum, feck it",
She understands me now,
she retaliates,
"I loved you most son...
until Donal was born
he was much nicer than you,
in fact you were the ugliest child
ever born in our hospital!!"
Todays was a cracker,
"Women, son, they`re the root of all evil"
I laughed when she said that
until I realized exactly why she said it..

kind of reminds me of the time my mom called me the spawn of the devil. she wasn't amused when i pointed out the irony of her comment
