Harsh four' o clock buzz
shakes him from sleep
grumbling he slams the button off
he frowns
feeling life dragging him
by the neck and
he curses the job
which traps him
the politicians who rob him
of a decent living
he catches a view of his life
in the mirror as he passes
it mocks him
walking outside
his eyes sting of technology's spoilings
wafting in the air
his ears stuffed with the
honks shrieks and shrills
of society's leavings
his body bumped and jostled
by the city's indifference
to his complaints
a few miles away ice forms
foreboding
on an airplane's wings
