A Tribute To Your Average White Woman

Jann Simmons-

Well…how do I describe her?

She might just be a teacher.
However, I strongly believe she is much more than that.

She can be described as a northern star I suppose. The one bright light that guides all the lost people.

Or just maybe she is more like that Statue of Liberty. Strong, fearless, a beacon of friendship and hope.

She’s someone who trotted through the bogs and dense forest to get where she is, even when no family would stand behind her. Maybe that makes her a soldier.

She can capture beauty and hold it for eternity in a photograph. Does this make her Picasso?

I can’t begin to describe who this woman is to the world.
The world is a large place after all. It’s full of love, hate, religion, politics, and poets (hidden among them all, of course).

But to me, the simple man…
Well.
She is my fortress.
A teacher; A mother; A friend; A structure.
Not to be confused with a building.

She’s who I hope to be.
She’s the V of Vendetta that Parliament fears.
This could make her an Idea.

But in the simplest form,
A human.
A Black President in the making: Not an oxymoron anymore.

Much like Shakespeare I must say.
Her leaves have began to fall
Her student’s will spread.
But now listen here,
Because a bell has began to ring.
Keep Listening.
Can you hear it?

This was a great read hoovern. I cant add anything to this 'cos it reads as it should for me. I think it comes from a good heart, from someone who is appreciative of someone that made a difference in your life that you admire.

    I love this poem.

I'm bit high at the moment, though, I'll review it when I'm sober.

It tailed off at the very end.
Much like Shakespeare I must say.
