He cried.
I watched the tears
Fill his eyes and
Quietly looked away.
I brought him close then
Held his hand but
There was nothing I could say.
He lied.
He smiled at me and
Wiped a tear.
He claimed that he was fine.
As he walked away
I heard him say
"I'll never, ever be fine."

The theme corrosponds to mine well. The format works well with the three line stanzas. They hold the individual thoughts well. I like the part one, part two thing. Nice take on it. The rhythm is off in you last stanza.
