When the noonday heat beats down
How will you cope?
Will you swim?
soak?

As the evening draws near
What plans will you follow?
Will you hide?
nest?
burrow?
When man's influence reaches you
What will happen to you?
Will you sicken?

I think the poem actually loses some of its impact from the capitalizations.
"frolic".
I liked the form and the imagery.
