It’s a beautiful house,
tall and stately.
But a place you feel at home
- completely.
Tidy enough to be smart.
Cluttered enough to be lucky.
Fully air-conditioned
but it’s warm inside.
All run and paid for
by a super-mum
and a great dad.
Made for family
a boy and three girls
as lovely as two parents
ever had –
more beautiful inside than out
and that’s saying something.
2 cats, one rabbit, one dog
And one small horse
called Betsy of course.
A spirit of welcome
the rock it was built on.
We stayed at this Hilton once.
Stole the towels
and wrote this
on the walls.

Domesticitus Vandalitus
Haha! Great twist of an ending! It did make me chortle! it was unexpectedly expectorated atop a domestic soliloquy I was really feeling the green-eyed monster of envy towards! I apologise for this blurted comment that cannot qualify as a review, Windhover but I had to confide this inadvertent animadvert. Fine work!. Rewarded 1

It always surprises me what people like. This was light-hearted 'thank you' note to my brother who showed us a great time on our holidays this year. I only posted it because I was going to be off the site for a week! Anyway - glad you liked it .

Thanx Lily
Glad you liked this one . I felt it was bordering (!?) on sentimentality and tried to save it with some humour. Apparently I succeeded ! Your comment is very kind and much appreciated. >W<
